2022-23 Bauervic Essay Competition

All Northwood students are invited to submit an essay on the following topic: Censorship, Fake News and Viewpoint Discrimination: What is the role of the government versus market forces in enabling free and responsible speech?

Currently enrolled Northwood University undergraduate students and Northwood University DeVos School Graduate School students are eligible to participate in the college competition.

• 1st place: $2,000

Essay Workshop. This workshop is designed to help participants of the 2023 Bauervic essay contest develop their essays. Experts will be on hand to answer questions about the essay topic, point students to helpful resources and provide writing tips.

February 15
